My US Navy experience where I was a meteorologist, oceanographer, qualified CDC mainframe instructor and practicing computer security analyst in charge of a global information network. Upon retiring from the Navy, my wife Elizabeth and I founded MCC. Our computer knowledge was based on mainframe, very large scale, extremely fast, computers which could evaluate and analyze global weather observations then produce long range meteorological and oceanographic forecasts not before realized be possible. Prior to my retirement we implemented large scale satellite observations into the databases to further increase the accuracy of the forecasts. Elizabeth managed the computer libraries and oversaw computer system updates to software and procedures. My involvement and management of the CDC mainframe operational data and forecasts combined with my security knowledge resulted in my becoming an ADP security of the Navy global network.Elizabeth and I formed MCC and become deeply involved with micro-computers well before IBM, Microsoft was interested.
We build micro-computers from scratch or from kits which enabled us to provide low cost micro computers for Monterey local businesses. MCC has been instrumental in seeing upcoming changes in our industry and made changes to incorporate the new technology into our business model as time went on. We function as a team of professionals with a great deal of skills, focused on doing the best job possible, the first time, correctly. We have computer experts rather than sales staff. Our customers are our best advertisement and provide great word-of-mouth sales. As the CEO and my wife as the COO and CFO, we are very proud of our team in every respect.
